Nigerian-born singer, Shaboozey displaces Beyoncé from top of Billboard’s Country Songs chart
Collins Obinna Chibueze, also known as Shaboozey, is a Nigerian-American singer who has made history on the US Billboard Hot Country Songs list.
His tune ‘A Bar tune (Tipsy)’ dethroned Beyoncé’s ‘Texas Hold ‘Em’ as the top hit on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart this week.
It also marks the first time in history that two Black artists have topped the charts consecutively.
“Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” rises to #1 on this week’s Hot Country Songs chart, replacing @Beyonce’s “TEXAS HOLD ‘EM”,” American music analytics business Chart Data tweeted.
Shaboozey recently collaborated with Beyoncé on two songs from her eighth studio album, Cowboy Carter.
