Ooni of Ife Appoints Prince Kamari Ademiluyi as International Economic Advisor, Paving the Way for Global Economic Diplomacy

The Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, Arole Oodua, and Paramount Ruler of the Yoruba people worldwide, has made a significant move in his global development agenda. Prince Kamari Ademiluyi is now the International Economic Advisor to the Royal Family and the Kingdom of Ile-Ife, a role aimed at boosting international partnerships, innovation, and positioning Ile-Ife as a global hub.
However, Prince Kamari Ademiluyi is the Founder of the UK Africa Trade Expo. According to the royal proclamation, “By the authority of the Throne of Oduduwa and in line with our continuous commitment to global partnerships, economic development, and the advancement of the Yoruba people, His Imperial Majesty Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, hereby appoints Prince Kamari Ademiluyi as International Economic Advisor.” Issued under the Seal of the Throne of Oduduwa.

This appointment follows Prince Kamari’s success leading the 2025 UK Africa Trade Expo (UKATE), where he brought together investors, governments, and innovators across continents. Analysts see this as a fresh approach, aligning with the Ooni’s goals to drive prosperity, empower youth and women, and boost diplomacy through culture.
The Ooni’s vision for the role includes attracting global investment in Nigeria and Ile-Ife, pushing tech, agriculture, green energy, and space innovation, and showcasing Yoruba heritage globally.
A Global Debut: G20 Space Economy Leaders Meeting
Prince Kamari hit the world stage shortly after his appointment, speaking at the G20 Space Economy Leaders Meeting (SELM) under the theme, “Space as a Catalyst for Inclusive Global Economic Development.” He pushed for Africa’s inclusion in the space economy, saying, “Africa’s destiny in the space economy must be shaped with Africa, by Africans, and for Africans” while calling for global collaboration. He highlighted the Ooni’s focus on youth empowerment, science, and tech, and outlined UKATE-GEC Space collaborations, Project Acorn, an Africa-focused GEC Space City, and pathways for African youth in AI, aerospace, and satellites.

He urged leaders: “Africa must not be left behind in the Space Revolution. Africa must stand beside the world, not behind it.” Observers call this a game-changer for Ile-Ife’s global innovation voice.
Responding to his latest appointment, Prince Kamari noted with gratitude: “I receive this appointment with humility and loyalty to His Imperial Majesty. It’s a sacred honour to serve, expand partnerships, empower our people, and elevate Ile-Ife and Nigeria with integrity.” He vowed to uplift Africa with “respect for heritage and belief in our future”
