I’m like a father to Imisi – Yomi Fabiyi

Nollywood actor and filmmaker, Yomi Fabiyi, has explained that his open support for Big Brother Naija Season 10 winner, Imisi, stemmed from genuine loyalty and gratitude, not personal or financial motives.

Speaking in an interview with Saturday Beats, Fabiyi said his relationship with Imisi predates her reality TV fame, describing himself as a “father figure” to the young star within the movie industry.

“I am an adult and like a father to her in the film industry. She was the only housemate I knew personally. Everything I do, she supports.

“For instance, when I had my housewarming, she stayed throughout and made sure the event went well. Supporting her during the show was simply the right thing to do,” hw explained.

Fabiyi also revealed that Imisi’s entertainment journey began under his mentorship at his film academy.

“Imisi was one of my students at my film academy, and beyond that, she has always been supportive of me and my son. We used to live in the same area in Ikorodu, and she’s been helpful long before the fame,” he said
