Nigerian producer and music executive, Don Jazzy, has revealed that he almost quit music and moved abroad after Mo’Hits, the record label he co-founded with D’banj, ended abruptly in 2012 due to disagreements between them.

In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Don Jazzy disclosed that it was his friends who encouraged him to stay and start again, and Mavin Records was born.

The ‘Dorobucci’ crooner stated that the experience made him stronger, adding that since then nothing has ever been able to break him.

“When Mo’Hits ended, I thought that was it. I almost packed up to move abroad. But friends encouraged me to stay and start again, and Mavin Records was born. Since then, I’ve learned not to let anything break me,” he said.

Glitedege recalls that Following Mo’Hits split, Don Jazzy founded a new record label, Mavin Records, which became home to many of the former Mo’ Hits artists (Wande Coal, Dr SID, D’Prince) and new stars like Tiwa Savage, Reekado Banks, Korode Bello, and Di’ja
