Famous Nigerian gospel singer Tope Alabi has finally addressed the controversy surrounding her alleged marriage to the father of her first child.
Glitedege reports that Tope Alabi was previously in a relationship with Lekan Olaoye, and the duo had a daughter, Ayomikun.
After separating from Olaoye, Tope Alabi married Soji Alabi in November 2000, and the union produced two children.
Recall that the singer was criticised on social media a few months ago for not inviting Olaoye to their daughter’s wedding and for changing Ayomikun’s surname to that of her current husband.
However, speaking about her previous relationship in a recent video shared on her Facebook page, the gospel singer stated that her ex never brought his family to her father, let alone perform the traditional rite for marriage
